Commissioned by the Texas Guitar Quartet

TRACKS is a lively 6-minute toccata that that displays to the fullest the ensemble’s collective virtuosity. The four musicians frequently play individual “tracks” consisting of sequences of repeated melodic and rhythmic patterns. These sequences overlap creating a motor rhythm that continuously drives the music forward.
